Event Time and Date

Wednesday, March 22 2017, 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM

In this educational workshop facilitated by Rose Cheyette, coordinator of Community Education & Outreach for  Samaritans, Inc., you will explore what puts a person at risk for suicide and what warning signs we can all be looking out for. Time will also be spent discussing how to talk to a friend who is suicidal and even how to ask them the important question of, “Are you feeling suicidal?”

This is a workshop that everyone should hear. You are guaranteed to leave with new tools. You will also learn about the resources that are available, on campus and in the community, to support individuals who are struggling with mental health concerns. For more information please contact Linda Dunphy, Director of UHS Health & Wellness Program at 617-287-5680 or email linda.dunphy@umb.edu
