Parent Organization: SAGroups @ UMB
Established in 1989, Casa Latina is a non-profit student organization at Umass Boston dedicated to providing cultural, social, and academic support to students and community members. We are an all inclusive organization, our doors and resources are open to
the entire student body. At Casa Latina we believe the success of one is success for us all, we must work together to inspire positive change in nuestra Casa!
Casa Latina meets every Wednesday at 3:00pm in Room 3115 on the 3rd Floor of the UMB Campus Center. Our meetings are an hour long. The first half we dedicate to updates and discussions of action plans that involve our organization and the second half we dedicate
to a discussion on a range of topics, that varies from week to week.
We are proud of our ongoing success and we do not fail to celebrate every academic year. Casa Latina hosts 3 annual events: Mi Casa es Su Casa (Welcome Reception), Un Pueblo Unido (Cultural Celebration), and the Latino Graduation (Recognition of Latino Graduates).
We are not limited to social activities. In fulfilling our mission, we design events and programs that engage the campus community as well as the members of the surrounding area.
We are here to help anyone regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or age.
