Beacon Voyages for Service is a unique program which allows students to attend service trips outside of Boston to various parts of the country. Students have the opportunity to be a student leader for trips or serve as a volunteer. All of the trips will take place during school breaks where student leaders beforehand will propose and coordinate the trip.
Past trips have included New Orleans, LA; Galveston, TX; Washington D.C.; Treasure Beach, Jamaica; Monte Cristi, Dominican Republic; and Jacksonville, FL; Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Lima, Peru; Boulder Creek, California; Las Marias, Puerto Rice; Kincaid, West Virginia; Quito, Ecuador.
For the 2012 - 2013 academic year our trips include, Las Marias, Puerto Rico; Chicago, Illinois; Brazil; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; South Dakota
